Vernon Hills High School Wind Ensemble

The band program at Vernon Hills High School has had many accomplishments in the past ten years. The bands have performed at: the Future World Stage at EPCOT Center, Orlando, Florida, New York City, NY, Augustana College, the University of Iowa, the University of Wisconsin– Madison, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and at the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference, Peoria, Illinois. The Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Freshman bands consistently receive superior ratings at the IHSA State Band Organizational Contest. The past eight years the Wind Ensemble has been chosen to perform at the prestigious University of Illinois Superstate Festival and was chosen to be the Honor Band for the 2007 and 2010 Festivals.
