Biography:
The Naperville North Treble Choir is a cornerstone of the music department at NNHS, which includes curricular band, choral and orchestra programs as well as music theory and appreciation opportunities. Extracurricular offerings include Renaissance vocal and instrumental ensembles, marching band, and vocal and instrumental jazz ensembles. Recent workshop presentations at Illinois Music Educators Association state conventions championed new music written for the female voice. During March of 2009, the Treble Choir toured Great Britain singing concerts and presenting Evensong services at cathedrals in Lincoln and Exeter, England. This year, they have commissioned an extended work for choir and orchestra by Illinois composer Jeremy Landig to be presented at Wentz Hall at North Central College/Naperville in March.
